Free Cruise Scam

Several hundred users reported being offered a Free Cruise from a caller using this number. We've seen this technique used repeatedly by scammers to gather personal information, so we advise people to avoid this caller. Calls appear to have taken place between April 7th & 8th.

Loans Scam

Hundreds of users have reported calls from this number, purpotedly offering to help reduce student loan debt. Scammers often use this technique to collect people's personal information, so you should avoid handing over personal details on the phone. Calls appear to have taken place on March 4th.

Robocaller

Several hundred users reported repeated calls from this number, but lines went dead when the call was answered.

Free Vacation Scam

Users have reported repeated calls from this number offering a free vacation in Orlando. This is a common technique used by scammers, and people should take care to establish the caller's credibility (by looking them up on the BBB, or visiting a physical location) before participating.

Charity Caller

Calls originating from this number appear to be gathering donations for a police charity. This is a tactic scammers have recently started using, and people should exercise caution and establish the credibility of the organization by looking it up on the BBB before proceeding. We've noted reports of calls from this number purpotedly offering loan refinancing services. This technique is commonly used to gather sensitive information, so we advise people to establish the credibility of the caller (using the BBB or by visiting a physical location) before proceeding.

Vacations Scam

Users reported a caller asking them to hand over credit card details in exchange for a chance to win a free vacation. This tactic is a very common scam, and we advise people to avoid this caller.

Reports suggest this caller offers student loan reliefs. This tactic is often used by scammers, so we advise extra caution to be taken before proceeding, and people should not give out personal information to this caller over the phone.

Telemarketing

User reports suggest this is a telemarketing number repeatedly calling to offer enhanced home security systems. We advise people to exercise caution and verify the credibility of the buisness before proceeding, ideally by visiting a physical location.

Automated Caller

Hundreds of users have received automated calls from this number, however we have not yet been able to establish it's legitimacy.

Refinancing

Hundreds of users reported automated multiple automated calls between February 12th & 14th. The caller appears to offer debt relief, however we strongly advise people to exercise extreme caution before taking this offer since it is a tactic commonly used by scammers. At a minimum, you should verify the caller's existence via the BBB, and try to visit a physical location.

Free Vacation Scam

This automated caller is offering free vacations in exchange for participating in a survey. This tactic is commonly used by scammers, and we advise users to avoid it.

Hundreds of users reported automated callers from this number between January 4th and February 4th. When they answered, the phone went dead. Although not a scam specifically - this is certainly a nuisance number to watch out for.

Utilities Scam

On January 24th hundreds of users reported automated calls from this number. Those who answered the call commented that the caller attempted to sell them an alternative electricity provider. This is an easy way for scammers to gather personal information by posing as a utility company - remember you should never give out personal information to unknown callers over the phone.

TCG New Jersey appear to be offering users free cruises from this number in exchange for participating in a questionnaire. People should take steps to ascertain how their information will be used and whether the caller is legitimate before proceeding.

Hundreds of users reported calls from this number on January 24th, however they were unable to ascertain who the caller was.
